well, holiday's been quite ok for me. in fact, its the indie-venture trip that made it ok instead of bad. come to think of it, maybe not. haha. my hols would be ok regardless of whether i went for the trip or not. perhaps i should clarify my ok. to me, its meaningful? meaningful being not sleeping 18 hours a day, not doing anything usefu,etcl. haha

anyway, i forsee the remaining two days as being extremely stressful considerin i only started on my hw yesterday

i think i can hear ppl saying "wah...first time leh". and honestly, its not the first time you guys said it. haha. i can still remember the time where i never hand in my chinese hw on time and then you ppl said the same thing.

hello hello!
chances of ppl reading this post are quite small, seeing as how most of the ppl who usually read blogs will probably be rushing out their bio assignments (or not caring at all).
do u guys wanna go cycling + blading tmrw at east coast park after sports day? (the school gate'll open at 6.15pm btw, so if u guys are thinking of leaving early, try the climbing over the gate behind the T-block) then we can have dinner together or sth. at the coffeeshop maybe? try to save money!
and, everyone, pls remember to drink lots of water, sleep well (after u've finished ur bio assignment of course) and wake up full of energy tmrw. so that we'll be able to cheer shakura, subra and the ppl who are taking part in the caterpillar race (did i miss out anyone? those are all that i know) on tmrw! yaaaah. although, i don't know ANY ursa cheers myself, who cares? just yell your lungs out and scream ur heart out! hur. that was sooo cheesy. hmm.. speaking of which, i just read about this 80 over pound (as in the british currency, not the weight measurement unit) sandwich which apparently contains one of the best kind of cheese, foie gras sauce or sth and wagyu burger. some of the ingredients are the same as those of the 100 over dollar burger on sale at uberburger in s'pore (it's currently sold out).
anyway, point is. yes. wat was my point again? right! the class outing! hopefully? as many ppl as possible lah! healthy lifestyle. yeah. hur. practise what u preach, diane.

anyway, i have noticed (for a pretty long time already) that our classroom is in shambles. with the broken table, torn linoneum, dirty surroundings, rubbish under the table, messy cupboard, broken pots (BOTH!)....

and i seriously think that we should clean up the soon to be bloody place.

and there's a reason for the duty roster.

i will be discussing with the rest of your representative( i.e class com) whether to implement some desperate measures...

and i am sorry to always post abt such serious stuff. but there appears to be valid reason everytime i do so. so...

we can do it 05 V14!

i feel that we have improved quite alot attitude wise....so i believe its possible for us to become more responsible and all!

ss! relax man! your doing a great job! responsible ppl will definitely have criticism of some sort, but dont take it so much to heart! it isn't your fault for today. or for the angel and mortal game. we all know your putting in a great effort and we really appreciate it, though it may seem at times that we don't. i guess everybody was a bit busy today. but next time, can everyone pls be active readers of this blog so everyone knows of the outings and can respond as to whether they can go or can't. yep. i think that will cause less disappointment on the organisers' end, and plans won't have to be cancelled at the last moment. and ss, you are definitely NOT redundant. cheer up! you're so important, our class wouldn't be our class if it weren't for you! =) we can always plan another outing some day when more ppl are free. cheers!

i feel so painful for eileen and myself

after so much (ok not that much) of plannin, this outing was still cancelled in the end.

i admit that i should have confirmed with you guys or something on fri...or send you an sms. which i did last night (although i admit it was slightly late).

but still. the fault is with you guys too. i mean, as your class welfare its my duty to make life funner for you guys. but you guys just seem so reluctant to lead a funner life.

and you only make life hard for me. i wonder if you are doing this on purpose or smt.

i have been thinkin abt this for the whole day (ok, for half the day..) and i cant help but feel that you just out to make life miserable for you and me.

before it was angels and mortals. this time is this. do you think i would wish for a next time?

Hey guys. So now, we finally have time for a break of sorts. so let's do something. Yay! After some discussion, as ss had done, we had decided on ice skating. I thought that we could go on monday after school since school ends fairly early at about 12. So... Are you all fine with it? A few pple have confirmed that they want to go, and the more pple who come, the better. There's, erm, an arcade down there as well and maybe we can go there after ice skating or smth. A Politically Incorrect Post

Ok, trying to do my part to make this blog politically incorrect, as it strongly advertises. (since it also advertises me, the more I should do my part)

1. I strongly encourage people to join the sPETlight competition. You might want to take a picture of a cat with its head chopped off and veins and arteries popped out, with blood still flowing, showing that it's just chopped off 30 seconds ago (maybe by you). You might also want to take a photo of a rabbit... on my dinner plate. Ha. I'm sure you have a large chance to win this competition. Go! For House Points! For Ursa!!!!!

*I'm trying to imagine what would happen to Audrey's cat (or pussy... as you call it) in my hands... muahaha.. (Oops.. disregard the words in parenthesis.. don't let your imaginations run wild. You know I'm straight. Audrey's not my cup of tea either. I'd rather have Paris Hilton.)

2. You should have killed that caterpillar in bio class today. You know what? You're in a lab! There're so many things you can kill (torture is a better word) that little thing with...

And.. it's so freaking cute! You can see its little eyes, mouth.. and it's so furry!

THE MORE YOU SHOULD KILL IT!

Juxtaposition. It's always satisfying to see such adorable, cute, little things being tortured and die in some horrible manner.

If we had killed it with Fire: I'd really like to see it wriggling in circles, struggling, its "fur" burning away, its legs dropping off its body, its green colour gradually turning black, its eyes, mouth etc.. slowly crumpling up, maybe breaking into pieces, slowly disappearing as the other body parts turn into ash.

If we had killed it with Alkali (we had lots of it very near us): I've not seen before, but what I really want to see is that its body contents slowly got drained out because of diffusion or something, then what we have left is just the green skin and "fur" of the caterpillar. If not, dip the caterpillar in some solution whereby a lot of water enters the caterpillar through osmosis.. then the caterpillar slowly blows up and bursts into pieces. That would be nice.

Say I'm cruel? Well, actually our bio tchr eventually put the caterpillar in a boiling tube with only a leaf (as food, I suppose). So what? You think the caterpillar can survive? Heh heh.. it's actually more cruel to kill the caterpillar like this. Um.. this is called torturing the caterpillar bit by bit? See how the caterpillar slowly succumbs to its death by leaving it in a boiling tube with just a pathetic leaf (boiling tube sealed up). Maybe you should enojy watching how the caterpillar dies of hunger after finish eating the leaf.

Let's experiment these someday.

okay i'm fastforwarding a bit to a june class outing on top of the helmsman week one. jonathan mentioned this thing that the singapore youth for christ, the bible society of singapore, youth development centre, sports coalition singapore and new balance are organising (yeah, it's mostly a christian thing, but i don't really care cos i care more about the goodies!). there is a range of activities we can take part in (we can only take part in the U-18 category) and i thought that it'd be a nice, healthy class outing. or class outings. there's a fee of $10 and everyone who joins gets a dryfit new balance shirt (!!!) which is worth quite a lot. anyway, here are the details:

I agree with Pearlyn, we should NEVER put any form of strategy or anything like that up here. Well a brief mention is ok, but I think that everything else should be kept within our own discussions.

Actually if you think about it, there isn't much of a strategy really. Just get everyone to sign up and each do their best. You've got nothing to lose anyway right? So what if you come in last? There is no shame in sports.

Anyway right, no promises right now, but I was thinking of organising some sort of a class gathering at my house, since no one has bothered to organise anything yet.

But you see the problem right, is that there is absolutely nothing interesting we can do other than to er...play bridge?? I seriously doubt there is room in my house for 30 people anyway.

Hey. Looks like the class blog has been really active, which is good. anyway, i wanted to touch on 2 points: invigorate and sports day.

Firstly sports day. Honestly, I dun think we should let Aquila and Pegasus have a walk over like they did last year. Our class participation last year was, erm, a bit pathetic. I feel that there's a lot more we can and should do. Let me tell you all what happened last. Aquila had many pple taking part in all the events. I would like to cite the example of the 100m girls run last year. There were 4 Aquila runners and a Pegasus runner. The results was as follows:

1st: Pegasus
2nd: Aquila
3rd: Aquila
4th: Aquila
5th: Aquila

Wth? Pegasus won and got 5 pts. Aquila on the other hand got (4+3+2+1) points, which is a lot more than 5. Aquila freaking thrashed the rest of the houses, even though they didn't win. This is where participation comes in. Just participate, get some points, have some fun. This is the last year we're going to be in the IP anyway, and next year, chances are going to be very hard to come by to win anything in sports day(considering all the sports pple). So come on, just give it shot. We're going to be in this together. As of last night, I saw that only SS, wilbur and I had signed up. I hope more people sign by the end of the week. You can follow the analysis done by diane and pearlyn(i think). It seems rather accurate.

So, from what I gather from the sign up lists, quite a fair few have signed up, which is a good sign. I urge more people to sign up. It's going to be great, and attractive prizes are up for grabs. So... Come on! for all those who haven't signed up yet, join! It's going to be really fun, thrashing the other classes. lol.

yes anyway, just have to remind everyone that the deadline for signing up is 20 march (1st day of school), 12pm. so have to sign up soon! so, in the spirit of class unity, the class should train together. even those who seriously can't do sports as they'll suddenly break out in a rash the moment they start and aren't joining sports day, should at least make an effort to encourage the rest.

hm. apparently, pea's logic is that we should focus on this event more than 400m cos fewer ppl will join this. yes so anyway. but anyway, u know who u are! the fit ppl! u should join this event! especially zhao chen! yarh! i heard about ur feat at x-country!

ah this is the tricky event. the ppl who can sprint for 400m should join lah! must have speed and stamina!

I think we should have a class outing sometime soon! not during this hols obviously cos some people are really very busy. i was thinking of somewhere around helmsman week. we're gonna have like half a day off one of those days anyway. we should go to the science centre! it totally rocks! or the zoo or something! and relive our childhood (everybody knows that joel, especially, is in need of this. poor guy with a deprived childhood)! suggestions anyone? like a nice, simple outing to the beach or sth? (we can go fly kites! yay!) let's brainstorm!

In reference to Shao Sheng's post , I would say that the Angel and Mortal game thing wasn't too bad. And I think it went quite alright for our class, as in I noticed that most people bought their angels/mortals pretty nice stuff. Even Joel was seen very dilligently wrapping gifts for his mortal in foolscap paper every lesson or so. Some people also bought very expensive gifts which was quite sweet.

So anyway, knowing our class, I think it's really kind of impossible to expect 100 percent participation. Some people can't be bothered. Some people just don't want to be nice. Some people are just too busy blablabla... And the class above wasn't exactly enthusiastic either considering the fact that they wanted this game. (note: my angel never wrote to me until the day of the supposed reveal and my mortal replied me like 100000000 weeks later I gave him my letter.)

Yes, so I'm saying that there's bound to be people who won't write and we shouldn't be bothered with such people.

But anyway, I think this game is probably the only way we would be able to know our junior class better. And we should get to know our junior class better cos it's a nice and social thing to do. And overall, I thought it went alright for all except unlucky me. Hur. Yes, it was nice until the supposed day of reveal.

Oh yes, and thanks Shao Sheng for co-ordinating this thing! I think people should try and be more understanding and not be so demanding of Shao Sheng cos no one objected when he first suggested the date of the reveal but later on did not turn up for the event. It's not his fault that our class is so unenthusiastic about things like this. I really don't see anyone being able to do a better job than him. So yes, people should quit complaining so much and help out more.

Yay.

Hm, I think we should also thank Diane for bring the box up everyday. Considering her mass, it must be quite a tough job to bring the box up and down everyday. HAHAHHAHA

I agree with Eileen that the cleanliness of our class sucks and is coming close to the point of no redemption! Ah, just the other day, I saw a lizard scuttling among those huge cushions we have behind the class. So for those of you who have been playing Bridge there, good luck to you, I hope you don't come down with some weird lizard disease.

And, I spotted an ant! Not just any ant, mind you. It was one of those huge ones, running around in the basket where all the 'gua zis' are. Seriously, can someone throw away those shit? They look mouldy.

And a ladybug laid her eggs on our class door and her eggs are still there though the babies have gone somewhere... LOL.

I don't think anyone's exactly keen on doing duty.... I think we should have some sort of punishment for the people who don't. Muahaha.
